Youth Summit 2009 Update

Pre- registration will be available in April 2008

The dates for pre-registration have been updated to allow the planning committee time to confirm speakers and program options. Stay tuned for updated information.

Simon Jackson has been booked as an opening keynote speaker.

At the age of 13, Simon heard about North America’s rarest bear – the white Kermode or spirit bear – and the plans to develop their last intact habitat on British Columbia’s central coast. He knew he had to help. Since that time he has founded the Spirit Bear Youth Coalition – one of the world’s first all youth-run organizations. Simon has also fought the forest industry and native groups to protect the habitat. His presentation on the "Power of One" will inspire and motivate all participants to discover their passions and begin to develop a plan to making a better future.
