Students will be in a separate location on the campus of the University of British Columbia and will have a program designed specifically with their interests and age in mind. It will involve lots of opportunity for sharing dreams, having fun and creating plans. Stay tuned for updated information.<br /><br /><strong>Simon Jackson</strong> has been booked as an opening keynote speaker.<br /><br />At the age of 13, Simon heard about North America’s rarest bear – the white Kermode or spirit bear – and the plans to develop their last intact habitat on British Columbia’s central coast. He knew he had to help. Since that time he has founded the Spirit Bear Youth Coalition – one of the world’s first all youth-run organizations. Simon has also fought the forest industry and native groups to protect the habitat.
